Heather leads LHS Equine with a focus on developing horses and riders through correct fundamentals, structured training, and progressive sport horse development. Her background is rooted in producing horses from the ground up into confident, rideable, and correctly developed athletes.

Originally from Alaska, Heather has competed through the National Championship level in eventing at the American Eventing Championships and has also consistently competed in jumper divisions, including at venues such as World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida. Her training has been shaped by work with Edo Van Buren, Beth Moore, Lyndan Ryan, Olivia Chapeski, Jill Walton, Mike Plumb, and David O’Brien, along with additional clinics and instruction with Philip Dutton, Martin Douzant, Bill Turner, and Daniel Stewart.

Heather’s training approach emphasizes balance, clear communication, and an understanding between horse and rider. She often incorporates flatwork, in-hand work, and ground driving to establish correct foundation and long-term soundness. Her coaching focuses on rider balance, biomechanics, confidence, and trust with the horse in a structured, supportive learning environment. She continues her education through the study of classical riding principles influenced by Philippe Karl, as well as ongoing coursework through organizations including the FEI, USEF, USEA, and USHJA.
